Tournament 2025: Sports, Skill, and School Pride
Sports have always been more than just competition, they are about unity, passion, and determination. This spirit was clearly felt during the TURNING POINT Intercollegiate Tournament, held at the MSU Grandstand in Marawi City from October 31 to November 2, 2025. The event brought together students and athletes from different colleges around the city, creating an atmosphere filled with energy, teamwork, and school pride.
The
TURNING POINT tournament featured several sports categories, including basketball,
volleyball, and Mobile Legends, giving students with different talents the
opportunity to showcase their skills. Each game was highly anticipated, with
crowds cheering loudly for their respective teams, making the grandstand come
alive throughout the three-day event.
One of the
most exciting highlights of the tournament was Basketball and Volleyball
competition. Five strong teams participated, representing different
institutions: MSU-Main Campus, Adiong Memorial State College, Dansalan Polytechnic
College, Mindanao Institute of Technology, and RC–Al Khwarizmi International
College. Each team demonstrated discipline, strategy, and sportsmanship, making
every match intense and memorable.
As
defending champions from last year, MSU-Main entered the tournament with a
clear goal—to claim the championship title once again. With strong teamwork,
consistent training, and the determination to maintain their legacy, the team
faced every match with focus and confidence. The pressure was high, but it only
fueled their drive to perform better on the court.
Beyond
winning or losing, TURNING POINT 2025 served as a reminder of the importance of
sports in building character and strengthening bonds among students from
different institutions. It was a celebration of resilience, respect, and the
shared love for the game.
